Ernestine Young of Littleton, Colorado passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was 76.
Ernestine was born in Trinidad,, Colorado on June 30, 1937, to Bessie and Cenon Valenzuela.
She graduated from Hoehne High School and then attended Trinidad State Junior College receiving her nursing degree.
Ernestine worked as an LPN for Trinidad State Nursing Home for 18 years
She moved to Phoenix where she continued her nursing career until retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and crafts
Ernestine is preceded in death by parents Bessie and Cenon Valenzuela, sisters Isabel (Herman) Fresquez Lillian (Louis) Mascarenas and brother Manuel (Albert) Valenzuela.

Ernestine is survived by husband Steven Young, children, Gerald, Juanita and Paula Garcia, sisters: Geraldine Valenzuela, Mary Valenzuela (John), Julie(Dave) Rivera. brothers: Carmelo (Gerri) Valenzuela ,Julian (Danny) Valenzuela. grandchildren: Kellie (Tony) Armijo , Adam Garcia, John Ryan Garcia,great grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Armijo, numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 18 2013 with Rosary at 9:00 AM at Comi Funeral Home Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Inurnment will follow at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
