John Kevin Riley, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 54.
John was born on March 3, 1970, to Joyce Riley and Judd Riley. He was a loving husband to his wife, Donna M. Riley, and a devoted father to Jalyn Guzzo, Haley Chavez, and Hannah Chavez, Alexandra Riley.
John was the kind of person who always went above and beyond for the people he loved. He was caring, loving, dependable, and always made sure the people around him were taken care of. Whenever someone needed help, John was there to lend a hand. He had a way of making people feel safe knowing that, no matter what, they could turn to him. He was the person who seemed to have all the answers—and if he didn’t, he would find them.
John had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making jokes, finding new ways to make his family and friends laugh. His laughter, stories, and personality brought warmth into every room he entered, and those memories will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
A huge sports fan, John proudly followed the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Colorado Buffalos and Colorado Avalanche. He enjoyed researching and learning about the things that interested him, spending time having drinks and sharing laughs with his buddies, and most of all, being there for the people he cared about.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Donna; his daughters, Jalyn (Patrick O’Malley II), Haley, and Hannah; his siblings, Robert Riley and Rachelle Riley; Ray Young (Friend); along with extended family and countless friends who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Judd Riley.
John’s greatest legacy will not be measured by accomplishments or possessions, but by the love he gave so freely to others. He will be remembered for his caring heart, his willingness to help, his quick sense of humor, and the countless ways he made the people around him feel loved and cared for.
Though he is no longer here with us, his love, laughter, and memories will remain forever.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
