Dennis Glenn Crum, of Fresno, California, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 86.
Dennis was born on July 29, 1940, to Frank and Vessie Crum, in Visalia, California. He married Clora Ann Click on September 11, 1960, and together they raised one daughter – Cherie Ann Crum Walters, and one son – Bryan Glenn Crum.
Dennis was a High School and Junior College teacher of English in Carlsbad, N.M.; then an entrepreneur in the Fur Industry, with ranches raising beaver for fur coats in seven western states, and extensive domestic and international travel to meet with investors; then a Land Developer in the San Joaquin Valley of California.
He was an active and long-time member of the College Church of Christ in Fresno. His favorite activities were with the High School students, especially when his own children were in that age group. He also sang with the Praise Team and occasionally taught Bible classes.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Marc Walters. He is survived by his wife, Clora Ann Crum, of Fresno, CA; a daughter, Cherie Crum Walters, of Clovis, CA, and her husband, Larry Walters; a son, Dr. Bryan Crum of Redding, CA, and his wife Karen Crum, and grandchildren Derek Walters, Carlie Walters, Katie Crum, and Madeline Crum; and many other relatives and friends.
His graveside service will be held in the Des Moines, N.M. cemetery on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life held in the College Church of Christ in Fresno, CA, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
