In loving Memory of Racheal Lenore Cordova

Racheal Lenore Cordova, lovingly known as Lenore, gained her wings at the age of 54 on September 27, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and longtime resident of Springer, New Mexico.

Lenore was born on July 19, 1972, in Raton, New Mexico. She was the youngest of 14 children, born to Eleanor A. Romero and Salomon Romero Sr. Lenore was a devoted wife to her husband, Adam Cordova, with whom she shared 21 beautiful years together. Together, they built a loving family consisting of two sons and two daughters: Kylie Cordova, Patricio Montoya, Isaac Cordova, and Angelica (Reynaldo) Balizan. Family was at the heart of Lenore’s life. She loved her children deeply and never missed an opportunity to tell others how proud she was of each of them. Her family brought her tremendous joy, and she cherished the time they spent together.

Lenore dedicated 19 years of her life to Springer Municipal Schools, where she was known for her commitment, kindness, and genuine care for students and those around her. She made a lasting impact on the lives of many students throughout the years. She was the kind of person people naturally gravitated toward; the person everyone wanted to be around. Lenore loved to travel, experience new places, and live life to the fullest. She was the life of every party, and her laughter was contagious. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room, and her laughter was one that you will never forget. She was truly beautiful both inside and out. Lenore’s presence brought joy, warmth, and laughter to so many lives. Her kindness, humor, and loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, former students, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lenore was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor A. Romero and Salomon Romero Sr., and her brother, Anthony Romero Sr.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Adam Cordova of Springer, New Mexico; her children, Kylie Cordova of Pocatello, Idaho; Patricio Montoya of Springer, New Mexico; Isaac Cordova of Springer, New Mexico; and daughter Angelica Balizan (Reynaldo) of Springer, New Mexico; as well as her beloved fur babies, Niner and Daisy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Salomon Romero Jr. of Springer, New Mexico; Michael Romero of Alamogordo, New Mexico; Bob Romero (Kelly) of Bernalillo, New Mexico; Mary Alice Gutierrez of Raton, New Mexico; Fred Romero Sr. of Raton, New Mexico; Juanita Ybarra (Thomas) of Roy, New Mexico; Anita Martinez (Tim) of Wagon Mound, New Mexico; Theresa Abreu of Las Vegas, New Mexico; Albert Romero (Cathy) of Springer, New Mexico; Christina Romero (Ray) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Dolores Romero of Cimarron, New Mexico; Juan Romero (Debbie) of Springer, New Mexico; sister-in-law Bernadette Romero; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Lenore Cordova will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, her smile, her beautiful spirit, and the love she had for her family will never be forgotten. Though she may no longer be with us, the memories she created and the lives she touched will carry her legacy forward.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on October 8, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, New Mexico, at 10:00 a.m., recited by Deacon Ed Olona, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father Trieu as the Celebrant, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Springer Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Lenore’s life, honor her memory, and say their final goodbyes to a truly special woman.
