Martha Joanne Martinez, 90, of Cimarron, passed away peacefully in Pueblo, CO, on September 12, 2026. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Dora Casias LeDoux of Cimarron, and her sisters Eloina, Stella, Mary, and Ida, along with their husbands. Brothers Lewis LeDoux, Raymond and wife Earlene LeDoux, and Robert LeDoux. Husband Arthur Martinez and daughter Elizabeth Walker of Cimarron. Martha lived a full life traveling the world with her Air Force Tech Sgt. husband for 20 years until her husband’s retirement from the military. Martha and her family made a home in California for the next 30 years and were property managers for a 200-unit complex. Martha loved family gatherings where stories were told of the past. Martha was a beautiful, loving person who gave her experienced wisdom and advice to anyone that asked. Martha, along with her family, moved back to Cimarron, where she was raised and spent her remaining days as a homemaker. Although Martha had two daughters, she was blessed with four grandsons and was “Nana” to them. Martha is survived by her youngest daughter, Evelyn Ramirez & partner Joseph Martinez of Cimarron; brother Henry & wife Patsy LeDoux of Texas; grandsons Philip Sparks Sr.& partner Tina Guitierez of CA, Kalvin Yokomizo of Texas, Kory Yokomizo and Robert Buentello of Calif. Great-grandchildren Ashley Rodriguez of CA, Clarissa Sparks of S. Carolina, Ava Sparks of CA, Philip Sparks Jr., Omar Sparks of CA. Emily & Lily Buentello of CA. Kainoah & Kory Yokomizo Jr. of CA. One great-great-granddaughter, Scarlet Rodriguez of CA.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on September 30, 2026, at the Sister Hildegarde Parish Hall in Cimarron at 10:00 am., recited by Patsy Zamora, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Father Trieu as the Celebrant.
