A dedicated professional, Tony worked as a contractor and concrete finisher. A high school graduate, he approached his work with the same precision and care he brought to his many hobbies. Tony was a man of diverse interests; he found peace in fishing and panning for gold, joy in dancing, and a creative outlet in woodworking. He was a talented musician who loved to play the guitar and was well known by friends and family as a joker who could brighten any room. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his beloved nephews.
Tony is survived by his son, Anthony Gilbert Montaño, Jr.; his daughter, Nicole Saiz; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Cecilia Martinez, Elaine Madrid, Louann (Donald) Abeyta, Rose (Tino) Gutierrez, and Louise (José) Martinez; and his brothers, Steve (Diane) Montaño, Robert (Pat) Montaño, Dennis (Gerry) Montaño, Ronnie (Janet) Montaño, and Ray (Zelda) Montaño as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Esmeralda Montaño; his sister, Gloria Montaño; and his brothers, Francisco and Andrés Montaño.
