COLFAX COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REPEAL ORDINANCE No. 2017-01

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Body of Colfax County will hold
a public hearing to repeal Ordinance No. 2017-01 entitled:
Personnel Policies and Procedures Ordinance No. 2017-01.
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, following the Regular
Commission Meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Colfax County Administration Building Commission
Chambers (third floor) at 230 N 3 rd St, Raton, NM, 87740. The Colfax County Commissioners
may consider adoption of the ordinance on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
This ordinance is being repealed so that the personnel rules of county government will reside in
policy going forward, not in an ordinance. This notice constitutes compliance with Section 4-37-
7, NMSA1978.
Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for public inspection on the County Website at
www.co.colfax.nm.us or during regular business hours at the office of the County Manager,
Colfax County Administration Building, 230 North 3rd St., Raton, NM.
