In Loving Memory of Dennis N. Hornaman

Dennis N. Hornaman (1942 – 2025)

Dennis N. Hornaman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed
away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 82, in Trinidad, CO. Born on September 15, 1942, in
Aberdeen, South Dakota, Dennis lived a wonderful life filled with love and laughter.
A proud veteran, Dennis served four years in the United States Air Force, laying the foundation
for a lifetime of dedication and hard work. As a skilled electrician, he built a successful career
and provided for his family with unwavering commitment.
Dennis’s passions extended far beyond his work. He loved to bowl, draw, ride snowmobiles,
hunt, and camp in his younger days. He was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia, a
master of jigsaw puzzles, and the king of “bad dad jokes”. His sense of humor and playful spirit
brought joy to all who knew him.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Janice Hornaman, and daughter Heidi (Jamie) Richardson;
stepchildren, David (Debra) Pfitzer, Donna (Richard) Cowan, Mark Pfitzer, Cynthia Pfitzer,
Daniel Pfitzer; brother, Joel (Mary) Hornaman; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Eloise Hornaman, and stepson, Merle
(Pam) Pfitzer.
Dennis’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his memory will be
cherished by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Dennis. Your love, laughter, and beautiful puzzle
creations will be deeply missed. You were an angel on this earth, and you are now our angel
watching over us from heaven.

at 1 pm for a service to celebrate the life of Dennis Hornaman at
Comi Funeral Home, 1804 E. Main St., Trinidad, CO followed by a graveside dedication at
Masonic Cemetery 13050 Nevada Ave., Trinidad, CO
