In Loving Memory of Jacob Allen “Al” Trujillo

Jacob Allen “Al” Trujillo, of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away on March 31,
2025, in Trinidad, Colorado. He passed away surrounded by family and
joined his beloved wife, whom he missed dearly.
His Rosary will be held Monday, April 14th, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at
9:30 am.
His Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church after the
Rosary at 10:00 am. Following the service, he will be placed at his final
resting place at the Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Comi Funeral
Home.
Al Trujillo was born on August 4, 1951, to Jake and Alice Trujillo of Trinidad
Colorado. He graduated from Trinidad High School and completed an
associate’s degree from Trinidad State College. On February 10th of 1973, he
married Virginia Sanchez of Trinidad. Together they spent nearly 50 years
together. Al was a U.S. Army veteran and followed his military service with a
career as a Colorado State Patrolman. After all his service to the state and
country, Al still had a passion for supporting veterans, so he worked locally
as the Veterans Service office in the Las Animas County Courthouse.
Jacob Allen “Al” Trujillo is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Trujillo,
Parents: Jake and Alice Trujillo, Brothers: Jack Trujillo, Ralph Trujillo, Joseph
Trujillo, James Trujillo, Augustine Trujillo, Sister; Emily Trujillo Sisters-in-law;
Elvira Trujillo and Diane Trujillo Nephew; Shaun Castillo
He is survived by daughter Jennifer (Jeff) Turner, granddaughters; Shanoah
Garcia and Johnna (Josue) Nadeau, Grandson Derik Turner, Great-grandson
Eli Turner. Brothers: Wayne (Rita) Trujillo, William (Teresa) Trujillo Sisters;
Marilyn (Raymond) Castillo, Gloria (Anthony) Vigil, Sister-in-law; Mary Trujillo,
Numerous nieces and nephews.
