She loved to sew and crochet. Mom was very creative and tackled any project, including making weddings dresses and prom dresses for her daughters. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and quilting with other ladies, and she could crochet things by just looking at them and figuring out how it was made.
After Daddy’s passing Mom decided to go to work! She was a foster grandmother for Senior’s Inc., a job she took very seriously and loved every minute. Some may remember her as “Grandma Lydia”. She was so excited when several of the grandparents were able to travel to Chicago by train – she has such a great time and talked about if with a twinkle in her eye.
She was very faithful and enjoyed reading her bible and other religious books. She attended church services at Stonewall Community Church and Fisher Peak Community Church.
