Juan E. Olguin, (Eddie), passed away on Feb. 3, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born in
Augusta, CO on September 23, 193,7 to Manuel and Maria Olguin. He attended Aguilar High
School before moving to California with his Sister Virginia. He returned home to Aguilar and
worked at the Town of Aguilar until his retirement.
Eddie was loved by many, had several friends, and was always willing to lend a hand. A man
of faith, Eddie was a member of St. Anthony’s Church. When he unable to attend services,
he read his Bible daily, which was kept in arms reach. He loved watching wrestling,
enjoyed his favorite mexican dishes, and cherished time with his Great Niece Jazzy Wazzy,
Great Nephew Carlos and Great Great Nephews Noah and Zion, who brought smiles to his
face.
Preceding him in death are parents, Manuel and Maria Olguin; brothers, Adam Olguin,
Manuel Richard Olguin, Gilbert Olguin and Rudy Holguin, sisters; Virginia Olguin-Cope,
Mary Gallardo and Marcy Gooden. Uncle and Aunt Felix and Mary Reveterano.
Survived by Brothers; Santiago Olguin (Dino), and Joseph Olguin (Aguilar, CO), Sister-in-law
Terri Holguin, Brother-in-law Danny (Yvonne) Cope, Nephews, Rudy John (Julie) Holguin,
Frank (Cheri) Holguin, Alfred (Conchita) Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Nieces, Kay (Brian)
Nyquist, Vera Valdez, Sandra Moreno, Yolanda (Daniel) Moreno- Gallegos, all of California.
Barbara Olguin, Adam Olguin Denver; Gilbert Olguin, Debbie (Phil) Olguin Pueblo; Jim
(Melinda) Olguin, Dina (Luis) Gamboa Trinidad; and Godson Arsenio Vigil Pueblo. Eddie is
survived by numerous Great Nieces, Great Nephews, and special friend Sara Smith of
Aguilar.
