In Loving Memory of Mark Anthony Avila

Mark Anthony Avila, age 58, died on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Kirkwood Memorial Presbyterian Church, 407 5th Ave, Penrose, Colorado 81240. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Home of Clayton, New Mexico.

Mark Anthony Avila was born on March 26, 1966, in Pueblo, Colorado to Baltazar Avila and Jenni Lilli (Martinez) Avila. He grew up in Colorado and worked as a general contractor for several years. Mark married Lucinda Montano Avila on July 23, 1999, in Clayton, New Mexico. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Joe Montano and by 3 siblings, Dorris Jean Avila, Timothy Avila and Charles Avila.

WIFE: Lucinda Montano Avila of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 CHILDREN: Brittany Davidson and Zac of Carlsbad, New Mexico and their children Hagen Joe Davidson and Averi Davidson and another on the way. Michael Stroup of Canyon City, Colorado and his daughter Lilly Stroup, his mother Louisa Stroup and his grandmother Christine Stroup, Matthew Herrera of Florence, Colorado and his children, Markus Herrera and Michael Herrera and his mother Alicia Conas, Molly Christine Avila and Latham of Canyon City, Colorado and Ady Terisina Avila-Gonzales and James and their children, Brooklyn Jo Avila, Azabella Gonzales, Mariano Gonzales, Luciano Gonzales and Layla Gonzales.

HIS SIBLINGS: Larry Avila, Yolanda Avila, Henry Avila, Donny Ray Avila-Fernandez, Evangelina Avila, Gregory Avila, Louisa Avila, Hope Avila and Vivian Wayne Avila.

MOTHER-IN-LAW: Terisina Montano
