( March 27, 1957 – January 11, 2025 )

Jerry Benjamin Trujillo gained his wings on January 11,2025 in Amarillo Texas. He was the Husband of Vickie Jean Trujillo; they shared 47 beautiful years together.

Born in Springer, NM on March 27, 1957. He was the son of Mary and Ignacio Trujillo. He attended Maxwell high school from 1970-1975 and left school to work. He worked at the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge; from there he worked at Maxwell Municipal High School for 28 years as a custodian where he retired. After retirement he then worked at Skye Chief Liquors for 11 years.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of Maxwell, New Mexico, he greatly appreciated and took pride in the little town he called home. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, dancing, singing, eating chicken and spending time with his family. He was very emotional, empathetic and an honest man and loved everyone who loved him. Jerry was a family man who cherished his loved ones and friends he considered family. A jokester who loved to make anyone around him laugh.

Proceeded in death by Ignacio and Mary Trujillo, Margaret and Raymond Vigil, Gloria and Evelyn Martinez, Stanley Brown, Troy Ledoux, Debbie, Raymond and Herman Victoria, Josie Ledoux, Emily and Bocho Encinias and Robert Medina.

He is survived by his wife Vickie Trujillo. Daughter Patricia Trujillo and partner Jonathan Johnson. Former son-in-law Issiac Pacheco Sr. Grandchildren Issiac Pacheco Jr., Patrick Pacheco, Jacob Pacheco, Chelsey Pacheco, Husband Koy Pickard and Arturo Pacheco. Great Grandchildren Maricia Pacheco, Antonio Pacheco, Harmony Pacheco, Hollis Pacheco and Ikaika Pacheco-Pickard. Siblings Joseph and Diane Madrid, Patrick and Rosemary Vigil, Michael and Diane Vigil, Donald Vigil, James Vigil and a host of many more relatives and friends.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on February 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Springer, NM.  Followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Father Brashear as the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Maxwell Cemetery.  Immediately following a luncheon will be held at Maxwell Municipal Schools.
