In Loving Memory of Anna Mae Reorda

Anna Mae Reorda age 95, of Santa Fe NM, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2024 in
Santa Fe. Anna Mae was born on June 13th, 1929 to John Chiri and Barbara (Leonardi) Chiri.
Anna Mae met the love of her life, Bernard Reorda, while attending Holy Trinity school and they
were married for 49 years until his death. She had many fond memories of her Holy Trinity High
School adventures, and the close-knit friendships formed during those years. Bernard and Anna
Mae spent time stationed at Camp Carson in Colorado Springs, CO in the late 40’s before
returning to Trinidad, CO to raise their family. Anna Mae worked at Trinidad National Bank while
raising her four children and she later worked for State Farm Insurance for many years. She
enjoyed cooking, crocheting, walking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her
homemade bread and ravioli were a family favorite in her younger years. If her grandchildren
or great-grandchildren were visiting from out of town, they would return home with salami
sandwiches and snacks stuffed in their bags as there was no saying no to Anna Mae! Three
years after losing her husband, Anna Mae moved to Santa Fe, NM to be near her youngest
daughter. She was blessed to have enjoyed many years in beautiful Santa Fe, and she was
very well cared for during those years. She is survived by her son Bernie (Lynn) Reorda of
Colorado City, CO, and daughters Charleen (Ron) McClendon of Trinidad, CO and Johnette
(Chris) Serazio of Santa Fe, NM as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is
also survived by her sister Lucille Johnson of Fruita CO. sisters-in-law, Ann Monteleone and
Theresa Paravecchio of Trinidad CO. and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Yvonne
Reorda of Colorado Springs CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and
father-in-law, Carolina and Bernardo Reorda, her loving husband Bernard Reorda, and her
beloved daughter Barbara Ann Reorda Hocking
Her Rosary will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Chapel with her
Graveside service on Friday, April 4, 2025,at  10:00 am at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
