Benjamin Childs “Ben” Mensay, age 65, died on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Clayton Gospel Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Mike Phipps, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bertrand Cemetery east of Felt, Oklahoma by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Benjamin Childs “Ben” Mensay was born on August 31, 1959, in Independence, Kansas to Erven Lee Mensay and Mary (Childs) Mensay. Ben loved riding his motorcycle and made a tremendous number of friends throughout the country while on motorcycle trips and attending motorcycle rally’s. He worked as a roofer for many years and he loved helping people. Ben considered himself a surrogate grandfather to countless children in the area and spoiled all of them. Ben married Bethany Bauer on October 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, by 3 brothers, Raymond Mensay, Bill Mensay and Keith Harrison and by a nephew Russell Coble.

SURVIVORS:

WIFE: Bethany Bauer of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 CHILDREN: Adrian Mensay and his wife Cindy, Leah Molina and Nathan Mensay and his wife Mariom all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

5 GRANDCHILDREN: Jude Mensay, Mikah Mensay, Kara Mensay, Emily Mensay and Trinity Milona.

4 SISTERS: Aurora Coble and her husband Charles of Clayton, New Mexico, Alethea Martinez and her husband Anthony of Belen, New Mexico, Antia Sanchez and her husband Robert and Astraea Duran all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Robert Mensay and his wife Samantha of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

And numerous nieces and nephews.
