In Loving Memory of Leanor Angela Duran

Leanor Angela Duran, age 66 passed away on November 15th, 2024 in Raton, New Mexico. She was born on May 9, 195,7 to Guillermo and Mary Martinez. She worked at MCMC in the kitchen as a dietary aide for 17 years before she retired. She was a very loving mother, wife, and sister. Leanor loved to crochet and make blankets. She also loved to fish and loved watching The Price is Right daily, she loved her kids and grandchildren so much they were her world. Leanor is preceded in death by the love of her life, Anthony Pepsi Duran, Her parents Guillermo and Mary Martinez, Sisters Isabelle Jaramillo, Alice Martinez, Agnes Lopez, Marcella Martinez, brothers Johnny Martinez, and Nickie Martinez. Leanor is survived by her Three children, Jason Duran of Raton, New Mexico, Joseph Duran and girlfriend Stephanie Ledoux of Angel fire, New Mexico, and Daughter Marjorie Duran and Boyfriend Brandon Romero of Raton, New Mexico, and four Grandchildren Haydin Duran, Anthony Duran, Mia Duran, and Lucius Gallegos. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Bachmeier of Ely, Nevada, and brothers Tommy Martinez of Roswell, New Mexico, Harvey Martinez and Wife Patricia Martinez of Pueblo, Co, and Danny Martinez, and Mike Martinez of Henderson, NV, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Recitation of the most Holy Rosary will be held on January 10, 2025, at 11 am at St Patrick St Joseph’s Catholic Church, followed by the mass resurrection at 11:30 with Father Bill Woytavich.
