Tracy Ann Abeyta, age 55, passed away on October 12, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Tracy was born in Trinidad, Colorado on April 10, 1969, to Irene and Isaac Abeyta
Tracy graduated from Trinidad High School, class of 1987. Following graduation, she started her career as a Nurse’s Assistant, continued her education to become an LPN, RN, BSN, and eventually graduated with her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education. She was employed through the State of Colorado for over 30 years. The also worked as a Nursing Instructor for Colorado Technical University.
Tracy had a great love for animals, especially her dog Smokey. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, watching football, and visiting the Casino with her best friend, Mom.
She is survived by her mom and dad, Isaac and Irene, brother Frank, sister Gaylene (Lawrence), goddaughter Jordan, niece Kelsey Buneta, special uncle Michael Gerardo, special aunt Mary Gutierrez, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Jayme Abeyta, and her fur baby Smokey.
A memorial service will be held on Monday October 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at Comi Funeral Home
