In Loving Memory of Darlene Vigil (Dee)

Darlene Vigil (Dee) 70, passed away peacefully on October 10th, 2024,  at home with family and friends by her side. She was born on January 22, 1954, in Trinidad, CO to Pete and Cecilia Santistevan.  Darlene married Donnie Vigil. She is survived by her husband Tony Santistevan, her Daughter Dawn Joy Vigil (Brandy Bueno), grandsons Donavan Vigil, Anthony Gonzales, and Andrew Quintero. Special Nephew Drew East. Sisters, Anita (Dan) Velarde, Modene Cole, Debbie (Brad) Paine, Elaine (Jim) Durban. Mother-in-law Caroline Santistevan. Sister-in-laws Myra (Joe) Mares, Mary Santistevan (Clark), Tina (Bryan) Sanchez, Gerri Santistevan, and many loving nieces and nephews.Special friends Charlene Lujan (Chad), Michelle Elle, Pat Lovato, and Lucille Blair.Beloved Pets- Precious, Mamas, Dusty.Preceded in death by husband Donnie Vigil. Parents Pete and Cecilia Santistevan, grandparents Monico and Sally Sanchez, Sister Loretta Santistevan, brother Pete Santistevan Jr., Nephew Jimmy Durban, father-in-law Richard Santistevan, brothers-in-law George Cole Jr., Gary Santistevan, stepson Anthony Santistevan. Val Peterson. Best Friend Betty Ramirez. Darlene worked for Ringo’s Market for many years. then proceeded to be a head cook for COG, and retired after 25 years. Darlene loved to play bingo every Thursday. She also loved to travel to Santa Fe with Tony and her sister Tiny to play the slots. She enjoyed going to Bronco games. She also loved to cook for her family and friends for any type of gathering. Darlene is loved by many and will be missed by many more. Services for Darlene will be on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at 2 PM at Faith Christian Church. If anyone would like to visit the family will be at 928 Arizona Ave.
