Seniors Almost Shutout Juniors for Powder Puff Win

It’s an annual event during homecoming week that the Senior girls host the Junior girls at Tiger Stadium for a powder puff flag football game and the boys switch roles and take on the cheer leading duties.

The senior girls made the first strike and took the lead adding the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead in the first half. Two interceptions in the second half would lead to scores for the seniors and another TD would give them a 30-0 lead. Then Junior Jennifer Mattorano broke free and scampered over 50 yards for six. Their 2-point failed leaving the final score 30-6 and preventing the shutout in the 2024 game.

The boys were definitely spirited Wednesday evening and during the halftime performance the competition was fierce with the Senior boys out doing the Juniors to take the cheer trophy for 2024.
