In Loving Memory of Rick Lynn Decker

Rick Lynn Decker, age 63, of Springer, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2024.

Rick was born on October 31, 1960, to Bob and Theresa Decker in Springer, NM. After Rick graduated from Springer High School, he followed his passion for training dogs at facilities located in Colorado and Arizona. During his greyhound training years, Rick married Terri Sanders in 1991 where they resided in Springer, NM. Rick and Terri went on to have two children, Shelby and Austin. Rick began his own legacy by building a greyhound training facility that hosted greyhounds from across the country. Rick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout New Mexico and Kansas with is son, Austin. As a devoted father, Rick enjoyed supporting his two kids, Shelby and Austin, in all sporting functions, County Fairs, and family trips.

Rick is proceeded in death by his loving mother Theresa. He is survived by his father, Bob, brother Mike, sister Judith (spouse Ted), daughter Shelby (spouse Calvary), son Austin (spouse Savannah), and five grandchildren.

As per Rick’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
