Drone Pilot Program
Raton High School would like to extend our congratulations to the following teacher and student who passed and will receive their FAA Unmanned Aircraft Drone Pilot Certification.

The FAA Unmanned Aircraft Drone Pilot certification is an industry-recognized certification designed to provide students with knowledge and “heads up” curriculum and training which culminated in students taking the nationally recognized FAA Drone Pilot Knowledge and Certification Exam. This certification allows students to qualify for, and conduct commercial contract-based services as well as establish their own businesses in the field or many other related fields. Once licensed, as a certified FAA Unmanned Aircraft Drone Pilot there are many local, state, and national opportunities that are integrated with other systems such as Global Positioning System (GPA) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to allow an integrated approach to careers in all sixteen career clusters. This program is sponsored by High Plains Regional Education Cooperative (REC) #3.
