In Loving Memory of Kendall “Buzzy” Cleveland

Kendall L. “Buzzy” Cleveland, age 79, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Clayton Methodist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Vondell Koontz, officiating. Burial will follow in the OTTO Cemetery west of Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Kendall L. “Buzzy” Cleveland, was born on February 24, 1945, in Clayton, New Mexico to Kendall Archie Cleveland and Lilly R. (Reif) Cleveland. Buzzy graduated from Amistad High School in 1963 and married Glenna (Rice) Cleveland on June 15, 1963. A lifelong resident of Union County, Buzzy ranched and farmed for several years before going to work for Double A Feeders in 1984 and retired in 2007. Buzzy was an avid golfer and square dancer. In addition to his parents, Buzzy was preceded in death by his only sister, Janna Cleveland Lechner, 2 brothers-in-law, Bobby Rice and Floyd Lechner, a son-in-law, Damon Cochran and a great-granddaughter Brylee Anne Smith.

WIFE: Glenna Cleveland of Clayton, New Mexico.

MOTHER-IN-LAW: Billie Depue of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 DAUGHTERS: Sheila Harris and her husband Jeff of Seneca, New Mexico, Cynthia Boggs and her husband David of Canyon, Texas and Bridget Cochran of Las Vegas, Nevada.

1 SON: Kendall Leland Cleveland II of Clayton, New Mexico.

8 GRANDCHILDREN: Kendra Smith and her husband Brandon of Canyon, Texas, Amanda Archuleta and her husband Jarrod of Folsom, New Mexico, Hayden Harris and his wife Kayla of Hugoton, Kansas, Denton Harris and his wife Jaymi of Hartley, Texas, Cassie Pool and her husband Kelby of Huntsville, Arkansas, Raegan Bannon and her husband Jared of Folsom, New Mexico and Brayden Cochran and Kylie Cochran both of Las Vegas, Nevada.

12 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Dusti, Taos and Dallas Harris, Holli Harris, Leo and Luke Bannon, Ethan, Emily and Brynlee Smith, Brody Archuleta and Cole and Kade Pool.
