Raton Fire and Emergency Services were called out at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday morning August 27, 2024 for a car fire in the 1200 block of Brilliant Street.
Upon arrival the vehicle, a Cadillac four door car, was fully engulfed just inside the gate at JM Tire. The fire was extinguished in short order and with the help of the State Fire Marshall’s Office, Raton Fire began the investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. Both agencies are continuing the to look into the cause with the State Fire Marshall’s Office taking the lead.
