In Loving Memory of Troy Anthony Gutierrez

Troy Anthony Gutierrez, a lifelong resident of Trinidad, CO died
unexpectedly on August 13, 2024, at the age of 63 in Colorado Springs
at UC Memorial Hospital Central.
Troy was born on May 30, 1961, in Springfield Oregon to Leonard and
Elaine Gutierrez.
Troy is survived by his father, Leonard Gutierrez of Trinidad, CO
daughter Diana Gutierrez, granddaughters, Toni Rae, Tommie Leigh and
grandson Niko Fernandez, great-granddaughter Amari, and great
grandson Zephariah all of Pueblo, CO. Sisters, Vanessa Gutierrez of
Denver CO, Lorelei (Herman Rusty) Lucero of Trinidad, CO. Kimberly
(Keith) Segura of Brighton, CO. Nephews and Nieces, Joseph (Gabbie)
Gutierrez, Tiffany (Jacob) Gutierrez, Felicia Mattorano, Aaron (Jen)
Mattorano, Matt (Desi) Gutierrez, Brandon (Janell) Segura, and Tea
Marie and Jesse L. Gutierrez Jr.
Troy is preceded in death by his beautiful mother Elaine Gutierrez who
he loved dearly and his beloved brother Jesse Gutierrez.
Troy graduated from Trinidad High School in 1979. He then began his coal
mining career. He worked for The Allen Mine, The New Elk Mine and
The Deserado Mine in Rangely CO. Troy was known for being a very
skilled operator in the mine. He was also a very good carpenter and did
many construction jobs.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
The Family is having a private service to celebrate his life.
