Charlie Duran

Charlie Duran passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Springer, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife Mary of 69 years of marriage, his three living children Charles (Pauline) of Cimarron, Patricia of Taos, Annette (Leonard) of Albuquerque; one brother George (Carolyn) of Springer; 5 grandchildren – Alyssa (Gerry), Seth, Brandon (Vanessa), Kenneth and Robby; 4 great-grandchildren – JT, Lillee, Witten and Brooke; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Charlie was born in Springer, New Mexico on April 16, 1937, preceded in death by his parents Delfino and Feloniz Duran and several siblings, three children – Chris, Rozella, and Monica. Charlie enjoyed fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and hunting. He was a custodian for Springer Public Schools for many years and served with the National Guard Army for eight years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Charlie on August 29th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer followed by a lunch at the Parish Hall.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arrangements for Charlie Duran are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
