Annette Felthager

Immaculate Annette (Niccoli) Felthager, 67, chose to be with our Lord on August 11, 2024, from pulmonary lung fibrosis with her would mate Homer and her niece Gaylene by her side.
Annette was born October 2, 1956, to Joseph Serafino Niccoli and Frances (Duran) Niccoli in Trinidad, Colorado. Annette went to Santa Fe Elementary, Rice School, and Centennial Junior High and she graduated from Trinidad High School in 1975 and was accepted into the Barbican School of Modeling. She was an active member in the Trinidad High School Miner Band as a Majorette and Cheerleader, a member of FHA, the National Rifle Association Junior Program, and ROTC.
After graduating high school Annette was accepted to the Barbican School of Modeling, but instead of going to the modeling school, she married her ex-husband Dennis Carl Felthager, and had a son, Corey Jay Felthager. After having Corey she was a stay-at-home mom and babysat Corey with her niece Gaylene and nephew Clint until she went to work at Trinidad Abstract Title Co. for 13 years, then moved on to Las Animas County Clerk and recorders where she worked 10 years until she became ill.
Annette ran for Trinidad Round-Up Queen in 1974, which was a lifelong dream of hers. She loved horses and had a horse named Rojo. She was in jo Mar Dance and gymnastics. Annette joined X Beta Chi in 1976. She was on the Social Committee from 1976-1977. Ways of Means, best Worker, Best program 1977-1978. She was the treasurer, Girl of the Year, Outstanding Young Women of America 1978-1979, Vice president, membership, and program of the year 1979-1980. She was president and on the Social Committee, awarded Perfect Attendance, and City Council Rep. She was xi Beta Chi’s Valentine princess and was named Queen of the Beta Sigma Phi’s Sweetheart Dance. Annette loved and cherished all of her Sorority Sisters and the wonderful memories they made together.
Annette met her soulmate Homer Jones in 2015 and they were inseparable from that day forward. Homer never left her side and they truly loved each other unconditionally. Homer was a major blessing to Annette and the family. Together they enjoyed and loved her son Corey, Grandson Denny, and Great Grandson Malachi, which was her pride and joy. She loved them more than life itself and being with them meant the world to her.
Annette was a sweet person and never met a stranger. She was very big-hearted with a loving soul with a great beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She had many wonderful family and friends who she wanted to know that she loved and was grateful for having in her life, including Domonica and Ric Esgar, Seferina Arellano, and her family. Ermie Gonzales, Pam jones-Uhernik (Marl), Debbie Pacheco-Tucker, Donna Leonetti, Gail Courtney, Gwendolyn Brock-Lopez, Athena Brock, Anna Candelario, Geraldine Trujillo, Bea Rico, Mike Armijo Sr., Shawn Martinez and Shawn jr. Lejon and Velma Guiterrez, Joey Felthager, Joy Cummings and Cheryl Edwards, Slade Maes, Henry Furu III, Che Felthager, and her Gaylene Furu-Vigil and family.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and watching her favorite football team, the Cincinnati Bengals. She loved to dance, laugh, and be merry.
Annette was predeceased by many family members including Joseph Niccoli (father), Frederick Niccoli (brother) Irma Furu (sister), Corey Jay Felthager (son), Denny Felthager (grandson), Fred and Jenny Duran, Serafino and Annette Niccoli (grandparents), Nephews Clinto Furu, Joey Niccoli, and Vaughn Vigil and niece Erin Vigil.
Annette is survived by her mother Frances Niccoli, soul mate Homer Jones, great grandson Malachi Felthager, niece Gaylene Furu-Vigil (Robert Jr.), Pam Lessenden (Shane), Pam Jones-Uhernik, great nieces Lilijana Furu Vigil, Barbara Decker, Theresa Kilian (Kevin), Lucretia Vigil Bayer (Adam) Ivy Vigil, and great nephew’s Race Furu Vigil, Roy Niccoli (broke), Fredrick Niccoli Jr. (Casey), Harvey Decker (Lexie), William Decker (Felicia), Mark Miera Jr., Abe Vigil, cousin and sister Dominica Esgar (Ric) and Cheryle Edwards, brother-in-law Henry Furu III, sister in law Joy cummings, and many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Annettes celebration of life will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at comic Funeral Home at 10 am with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating. Reception to follow at the Santa Fe Tavern.
