In Loving Memory of Loren Eigenberg

Loren Dale Eigenberg was born to Gus and Frida Eigenberg, March 26th, 1935 in Rosemont, Nebraska. He was Baptised at Stillwater Township in Rosemont and his First Communion was at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury, NE.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University, and was inducted to Northwest Athletic Hall of Fame as a track and field competitor. He later earned a master’s degree at Wichita State University in Wichita KS.

His work started in physical education for Albuquerque Public Schools and then in Raton for El Raton/85 Drive-In (Hubbard-Murphy) theaters.  He also later worked in  Miners Colfax Medical Center Long Term Care in resident activities.

He was a member of Zions Lutheran Church in Trinidad CO, First Presbyterian Church in Raton, NM, as well as religious programs at Morningstar Assisted Living in Rio Rancho NM.

He is survived by his daughter Jan Raybern (Chris), 2 grandsons Dain and Jake, niece Karla Hopkins, nephew Ken Eigenberg, cousin Lois Doss, and numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home in Raton on Tuesday August 13th at 11:00 AM with Lisa Rygiel, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery.

Arrangements for Loren Eigenberg are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.

    May you Rest in Peace Mr. Eigenberg. Thank you for the opportunity you gave me working for you at the 85 Drive Inn. You were always good to me and all the times up at MCMC Long Term Care.
