Irene D. (Garcia) Sanchez
Irene D. (Garcia) Sanchez was born September 11, 1952, to Mike Armijo and Julia Lopez. She worked of her life at Pepsi Cola Bottling Company and JR’s Country Store until retirement.
She met and married the love of her life, George Sanchez in May of 1972 and had 3 amazing children. She loved reading, crocheting, and making people happy with her cooking, especially tortillas, green chili, and tamales. She was well-known by almost everyone in town and those who knew her loved her.
She was met at Heavens Gate by her husband George, her 2 sons Lonnie and Roger Sanchez, her parents Mike and Julia Armijo, stepdad Henry, her in-laws, Onesimo and Sadie Sanchez, her brothers David and Jimmy Armijo and sisters, Renee and Sadie.
She is now watching over her daughter Syndee (Mark) Camp, daughter-in-law Augusta Sanchez, her grandsons, CJ (Ashly), Mark Jr. (Elissa) and Cody (Jade), her granddaughters, Brittany, Brianna, and Brooklyn, great grandchildren, Caden, Cassandra, Jaci, Jeremiah, Joshua and Harrison, her brothers Louie (Cindy), Anthony (Rose), sister, Margie (Tom) and sister-in-law, JoAnn (Shawn), many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and loved ones.
Per the request of Irene, there will be no services, but her family will host a Celebration of Life dinner, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Round-Up Park at 1:00 pm.
