Elizabeth M.(Liz) Naugle, 73, of Raton, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024. She was born on August 25, 1950 in Raton, New Mexico.

As time went on, she tied the knot with George W. Naugle and together, they welcomed two beautiful children into their lives. She had a strong love for people and always pursued a career that allowed her to interact with others. Initially, she ran her own daycare because of her love for children and the flexibility it provided to raise her own. Eventually, she followed her true passion and pursued a career in cosmetology.

Liz enjoyed spending time at La Mesa park, where she operated her gift shop. She cherished the company of her family and friends and was known for always welcoming them into her home. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Elizabeth’s warm and welcoming spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her generous heart and eccentric personality brought light and joy to those around her. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and accepted.

Liz is preceded in death by her parents Romie and Bonnie Fernandez, George Naugle, sister Patricia Pacheco, brothers Michael Bernal, Alfred Fernandez, Danny Fernandez, Lawrence Fernandez, nephew Joseph Bernal and great-granddaughter Rylyn Ross.

She is survived by her loving son Billy Naugle, and daughter Barbara Martinez; sisters Antoinette Dabovich and husband Pete, Christina Ortiz; brothers Joe Bernal and wife Kathy, Leonard Fernandez and companion Monica.

Liz leaves behind a legacy of love through her 8 grandchildren: Alyssa Martinez, Jordan Garcia and wife Amirysa, Ashlyn Martinez, Damon Martinez, Jayce Martinez, Austin Naugle, Cory Naugle, and Jeremy Pacheco; 5 great-grandchildren: Jeremy T. Pacheco, Reaya Martinez, Jason Martinez, Jordan Jr. Garcia, and Valencia Garcia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Liz’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

May her soul rest in peace and may her welcoming home in Heaven be as beautiful as she was on Earth. Liz will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.

A memorial service to celebrate Liz’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 18th at Mesa Church in Raton NM 917 S 2nd St.
