BACKGROUND: Garth Boyce was born on September 13, 1943, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Albert Garth Boyce and Daisy Oleta (Strealy) Boyce. He grew up in Carlsbad and graduated from Carlsbad High School. Garth attended New Mexico State University and graduated in January of 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting. Garth married Stana (Bode) Boyce on July 26, 1965, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He went to work for PNM in 1966 starting as a business manager at the main office in Albuquerque. Later working at the Demming, New Mexico branch and then returning to Albuquerque as the division manager and then to Clayton as the division manager. He retired from PNM after over 20 years. Garth was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 daughters, Micci Annette Dill-Boyce and Tracy Gail Herbert, and by a sister, Elizabeth “Lily” Ann Sears.
