In Loving Memory of Daniel Lee Blatnick “Danol”

Daniel Lee Blatnick “Danol”
Daniel L. Blatnick, 37, died unexpectedly on June 10, 2024. He was born on January 21, 1987,
in Trinidad Colorado. The son of Bill and Diane (Salazar) Blatnick, Daniel graduated from
Trinidad High School in 2006. Following graduating, Daniel worked for Key Energy, New Elk
Mine, and Corradino’s. In 2015, he relocated to Denver to pursue his passion for working on
cars and to create a more positive life for himself. He was an employee of Stevenson
Chevrolet and worked as both an automotive detailer and sales consultant. He
volunteered his time working on vehicles for the Stout Street Foundation, where his personable
nature and kindness earned him many friends. Daniel was passionate about fast cars,
muscle cars, skateboarding, video games, and his favorite movie, Tombstone. He entered
many different car shows and won First Place in the Wicked Wayz car show in Trinidad in 2009
as well as several other awards over the years.
Daniel was known for his kind, gentle, and caring soul. He had friends from all walks of life
and could relate to anyone. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Norma
and Henry Blatnick and maternal grandparents Rosella and Elmer Salazar as well as
special friends Travis Shinkle, the late Josh Howell, and Michael Cole.
Daniel is survived by his parents Bill and Diane Blatnick; sister Amber (Waylon) Hackett and
nephew Bennett; girlfriend Janine Cordova; best friends Travis Cole, Gerald Armijo, and
Aaron Vigil; and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Comi Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 19th
from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00
p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic
Church.
Active pallbearers are Travis Cole, Gerald Armijo, Aaron Vigil, John Salazar, Elmer Salazar,
and Waylon Hackett.
Those who wish to remember Daniel in a special way may make gifts in his memory at
Comi Funeral Home. Daniel will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in
eternal peace, knowing that he was cherished beyond measure and loved beyond words.
