Alan J. Frush passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born on May 25, 1959 in Trinidad, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Frush, owner and operator of Trinidad Coca-Cola Bottling, his mother, Virginia (Ginny) Frush, and his brother Richard Frush.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Alfonso, his sister, Nanette Frush (James McClinton Sr.), nephew, James McClinton Jr, brother-in-law Michael (Ruby) Alfonso, niece, Kristen (Tony) Armijo, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Alan attended Trinidad Public Schools and graduated from Trinidad High School and Trinidad State Junior College. He continued his education working full time earning his degree in Data Base Administration and Business from Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey in 1995.
Early in his career, he worked for various companies that contracted with the government as a field engineer maintaining and repairing computer systems; specifically ASWM (AntiSubmarine Warfare Systems) and AEGIS systems on aircraft carriers. He has worked on the USS Carl Vinson, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Independence, and USS John F. Kennedy. He was recognized by commanding officers and his supervisors for his ability to go above and beyond, not only repairing his equipment, but the equipment of other companies as well. Later in his career, he worked as a Data Base Administrator and in IT positions with Dow Jones in Princeton, NJ, University Medical Center in Tucson AZ, Marana Unified School District in Marana AZ, and most recently the U.S. Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo, CO.
