In Loving Memory of Mark Benjamin Linder

On May 25, 2024, at 11 am, we will gather at North Pilgrims Rest Cemetary in Las Vegas, NM to honor Mark Benjamin Linder.  Pastor Micheal Dickenson will officiate.
Mark was born on October 23, 1960, in Springer, NM to David Romaine and Loida Linder.   Mark graduated from Springer High School and attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, TX where he met his wife, Karon. They moved to New Orleans and while working at Popeyes, Sean, their first, was born. In 1986, Godfather’s Pizza moved the family to Wichita, KS where Amber and Geoffrey were born. Mark finished his degree in Business at Friends University while in Wichita. Mark advanced within Godfather’s Pizza to become Co-Director of the franchise.  He left Godfather to be one of the ground-breaking leaders in Direct Dish TV.
Next, Mark joined Better Homes, a Fleetwood Mobile Home Sales Center, to partner with Paul Treadwell who was a great friend and mentor. At Better Homes, Mark and his friends built Thunder Corp (a trucking and delivery setup company for mobile homes). Later Fleetwood Corporation bought Better Homes and moved Mark and the family to Highland Village, Texas.
Mark built several businesses in Texas: Home Parks, Sola, and Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions.  He also partnered with Colorado-based Bank of the West on a few ventures.  Mark was an avid collector of Comic books, Guitars, Music posters, Artwork, and Memorabilia.  Mark was also active in the Assembly of God Fellowship of North Texas, a participant in world missions (especially those in Scotland), and in helping Churches with business and banking.
The family took many trips to New Mexico.  Mark loved Santa Fe for its art, food, and Ski slopes.  Mark used his childhood adventures as a backdrop for his podcast channels.  Stories of:  Exploits and narrow escapes, Being frozen while wading in mountain-fed rivers, Treasure hunts in junk stores, Tales of the Great White Mountain Shark,  and many other wild narratives.
Mark taught us well the values he lived by: Love God, Love your country, Loyalty,  Love your family and Hard work.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents David and Loida Linder. His grandparents, David and Audry Linder of Roy NM, and Amando Jimenez and Eugenio Lazo (Mima).  And his sister Rachel Salas Linder.
Mark is survived by his wife, Karon, and their children Sean, his wife Sarah, and daughter Naomi; Amber and her husband Dave, and their kids: Luke, Abby, Ally, and Hope, by Geoff, his wife Caroline, and their son Eli. Mark is also survived by his brother David, his wife Elizabeth and their sons David Jeremy and his children, and Benjamin, his sister Rebecca and her children, and his sister Andrea, her husband Israel and their daughters Sofia and Heidi.
