Frank Aranda Jr, age 66, passed away at home on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born April 9, 1958, in Pueblo, CO to Frank Sr and Angelina (Dede) Aranda. He was a 1976 graduate of Trinidad High School. Frank dedicated 40 years to BNSF Railway before retiring in 2017.
Frank was well known for his athletic ability and competitiveness. He passionately competed in various organized sports including softball/baseball, basketball, bowling, darts and cornhole. He was a Kansas City Chiefs & Denver Nuggets Fan through and through.
He was united in marriage to Becky Cordova on April 16, 2010
He is preceded in death by his father Frank Aranda Sr and father-in-law Frank Cordova Sr.
Frank is survived by his wife Becky, mother Angelina Aranda, daughters Francine (Chris) Swift and Justine (Shawn) Lessar, son Antonio (Brandileigh) Cordova, sisters Anne (Juan) Martinez and DeeAnn (Mike) Nelson, Grandchildren Jaleysia, Aubrey, Riley and Kaceyn, step-children Janine Cordova and Joleen (Kevin) Valdez, step-grandchildren Geyonah, KJ, Journey, Jaysa, Isaiah and TyleighKae and step-great-grandson Arlo, mother-in-law Pat Cordova, brothers-in-law Frank Jr. and Brian Cordova and sister-in-law Melinda (Jimmy) Olguin.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kellan Curro, Mike Nelson, Juan Martinez, Michael Cisneros, Frank Cordova Jr., Matt Baca, and Jimmy Olguin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jim Bowie, Dr. Kevin McClintock and Tammy Cooper with Sangre de Cristo Hospice for the excellent care given to Frank during his illness.
Services will be held on May 10, 2024, at Comi Funeral Home Chapel starting with visitation from 2pm-5 pm and a rosary following at 6 pm. We encourage everyone to wear their Denver Nuggets gear.
