In Loving Memory of Clara M Torres

Clara M Torres passed on March 16, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was
born in Trinidad Colorado on March 29, 1952.
Clara attended school at Primero High and later graduated from Trinidad State Junior College
with her LPN degree. She worked over 20 years at hospitals in Raton NM, Trinidad, Walsenburg, and Pueblo.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents Jubbie (Tina) Chavez and Annie (Art) Trujillo, Sister
Bernadette Isabel Lucio, and Brothers in laws Tudy Sandoval, and Johnny Torres.
She is survived by her son Sam (Debbie) Sisneros, Daughter Mary Ann Santistevan, Sisters,
Vera Torres, Florence Sandoval, Ruth Ann (Henry) Jacobs, Judith (Kerwin) Hass, and her
brother Julian (Yolly) Trujillo. Clara also leaves behind 5 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids and
numerous nephews and nieces.
Clara enjoyed painting ceramics, embroidery, and knitting. In her younger days, she loved going
camping and fishing. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved cat Lucy.
Public viewing will be from 3:00-6:00, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16th at
Comi Funeral Home. The mass will be Wednesday, April 17th at 9:30 at Comi Funeral Home
followed by burial in Vigil.
