Kristie Cordova

Kristie L. Cordova, age 42 of Raton, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 2, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on February 28, 1982, in Raton New Mexico.
Kristie was a beloved Certified Nursing Assistant for 15 years and worked as a Gas Attendant. She was known for her caring nature and willingness to help others. Kristie’s dedication to her work extended beyond her professional life as she cared for many elderly friends she had met during her time at the nursing home.
In her free time, Kristie enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with her daughter, nephews, and numerous friends. She cherished moments of laughter and joy, often hosting summer BBQ’s and watching the kids play outside.
Kristie will be remembered for her kind heart and friendly demeanor. She never met a person she did not like and was always there to lend a helping hand. Her selfless nature touched the lives of many from young kids to the elderly.
Kristie is survived by her daughter Asya Rae Cordova, Parents Carlos and Yolanda Cordova, sisters Pamela Cordova (nephew Nasiah Cordova), Monica Garcia (wife Leandra Garcia and Niece Bugs), Aunt Vera Cordova, Uncle Bobby Cordova, Aunt Maria Meeks, Uncle Jose Frayre, Uncle Roberto Enriquez Jr., Uncle Mario Eduardo Enriquez, Uncle Franciso Enriquez, Aunt Patricia Hurtado, and Aunt Sylvia Gamboa. Best friend Diane Garcia and nephews Christian Garcia and Matias Apodaca, along with a large extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Camilo and Julia Cordova, maternal grandparents Roberto Enriquez and Francisca Frayre Enriquez, and companion Jaye Jefferson.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Friday April 12, 2024, at 110:00 AM at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, recited by Frank Maldonado followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM with Fr. Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Inurnment will take place at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Following the services a luncheon reception will be held at the Parish Hall.
Kristie’s warm presence and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
