Walter Nauta, passed away peacefully at MCMC LTC Facility on April 2, 2024.
He was born on February 21, 1953, in Raton. He was 71 years old. Danny was well-known around Raton and the Springer area. he loved fishing and would go anytime. His biggest story was of catching a 48-inch pike out of Springer Lake. He would show everyone his picture of the fish.
Danny is survived by his father Elvin Oscar Nauta of Trinidad Rehab and Health Care, Trinidad Colorado, sister Donna (Jerry) Buttram of Raton, Niece Laura (Scott) Johnson of Raton and Nephew Jerod (Danielle) Buttram of Edmond, Oklahoma, and numerous other family members around the country.
The family would like to thank MCMC-LTC for all the great care that was given.
No services are scheduled and burial will be at a later date.
