Robert (Bob) Anthony James, 85 died at his home in Trinidad Colorado on March
9,2024.
He was born February 8, 1939, to Anthony (Tony) James and Anna F (Sebastiani)
James.
Robert graduated from Holy Trinity High School, class of 1957. After graduation Robert
served in the Army National Guard. Robert married his high school sweetheart Rose H
DeCarolis in August of 1964. Robert worked for the railroad for several years. In 1968
he went to work for the Colorado Department of Transportation where he worked for 30
years, retiring in 1998.
Proceeding him in death were his parents, his brother Frances, and his ex-wife Rose.
He is survived by his brother Marty, his 5 daughters Lucy (Ralph) Trujillo, Roberta
D’Ercole, Betty (Joe) Avalos, Mary (Rich) Olguin, Antoinette (Steve) Lenzotti, 14
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as several nephews, family and
friends.
His Rosary will be held at Comi Chapel on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 am with
services to follow at Comi Chapel.

Robert was a classmate of mine. I do not recall a time when he did not attend a class reunion–whether it was big affair or small gathering at a local restaurant. He always had good things to say about his classmates. We were important to him.
When I was in Trinidad this past fall, I visited him at his home and it was apparent that his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his comfort and his joy.
I have great respect for him and I will miss him.
