Hazel D. Casarez, age 80 passed away on February 12, 2024. Hazel was born on February 18, 1943, to Paul Barela and Cleo Leyba.
Hazel is preceded in death by her husband Al (Beaver) Casarez and her parents.
Hazel is survived by her daughters Leona (Ron) Pacheco, Diana Gomez, Hector (Anna) Casarez, Maria (Anthony) Salas, Paula (George) Eckendorf, Leonard (Sandra) Casarez, and Andrew Casarez.
Multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and sisters Lucy Gonzales and Mary (Juan) Tafoya.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
Arrangements for Hazel D. Casarez are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
