Raton Police Arrest Three on Drug Dealing Charges

Raton Police on a tip began surveillance of a local hotel room at 200 Clayton Road in Raton where they found several vehicles coming and going on the night of January 16 & 17, 2024.

Officers watched room 109 for several hours creating a probable cause with which they requested a search warrant. Officers executed the search warrant finding over 446 grams of methamphetamine, over 91 grams of fentanyl and 24 plus grams of crack cocaine. Officers also collected $2888 in cash in various denominations.

Also found in the room was drug paraphernalia and indications of drug trafficking. Other items included multiple digital scales and plastic baggies and drug residue from packaging.

After seizure of the drugs and other items Ryan Tietjen, Tristen Perez (Raton) and Jearlyn Malone (Thoreau NM) were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to commit trafficking a third-degree felony and possession of a controlled substance a fourth-degree felony.
