Dan Louis Bryan, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Due to Covid, A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Dan was born at home in Happy, Texas on October 17, 1939, to Ralph and Bonnie Bryan. He attended school in Happy until the family moved to Gladstone, New Mexico at age 12. He then attended and graduated from Farley High School. Dan married Karen Douglass in December of 1960. Dan was a rancher most of his life and operated the Frosty Bar in Clayton, New Mexico where he was known for his ‘Boone burgers’, pizza, and more. He loved God, his family, cattle, and the land and he was a great historian in the Gladstone and Farley area. He enjoyed football and all sports and would gather anyone interested to go play some ball at the football field in Clayton. He loved young people, and his grandchildren were his joy, each one having fun and memorable times with their Grandpa. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Caldwell Bryan and Bonnie Dean (Hahn) Bryan, 1 brother, Carl Bryan, and 1 sister, Helen Bearden.
SURVIVORS:
WIFE: Karen Bryan of Gladstone, New Mexico.
1 SON: Danny Bryan and his wife Shari of Canyon, Texas.
1 DAUGHTER: Teresa Ethridge of Clayton, New Mexico.
Grandchildren: Daniel Bryan, Brandon Bryan and wife Toni, Jace Ethridge and wife Tori, Sundari Zamora and husband Jose.
And 7 great-grand children.
