BACKGROUND: Ron Taylor was born on November 25, 1952, in Clayton, New Mexico to Earl Taylor and Betty Jo (Miller) Taylor. Ron worked for many years as a transport truck driver for several different companies and he hauled hay all over the Texas Panhandle and Union County. Ron liked dabbling with cattle and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He would always stop to help people along his travels and he never met a stranger. Ron married Ilene (Jones) Spradlin Taylor on January 28, 2001, in Clayton, New Mexico. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his grandmother Goldie Miller who was very influential in his life, and by a half-brother, Michael Taylor.

WIFE: Ilene Taylor of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SON: Ronnie Taylor and his wife Ashley of Edmund, Oklahoma.
2 GRANDCHILDREN: Gracie Taylor and Declan Taylor both of Edmund, Oklahoma.
1 STEP-DAUGHTER: Janae Vandiver and her husband Jesse of Clayton, New Mexico.
3 STEP-SONS: Sam Spradlin and his wife Rox of Dallas, Texas and Ron Spradlin and his wife Jenn, and David Spradlin and his wife Laurie all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Several Step-Grandchildren and Step-Great-Grandchildren.
2 BROTHERS: Larry Taylor and his wife Liz of Clearview, Oklahoma, and John Taylor of Logan, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Frances McSmith of Amarillo, Texas.
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
