Irene Madrid, age 93 passed away at her home in Raton, on December 14, 2023, with her family by her side. Irene was born on Marh 26, 1930 to Nikandro Martinez and Cencion Martinez.
Irene worked at MCMC until her retirement.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband Joe Able Madrid.
Irene is survived by her daughter Lucille Duran, Companion Jon, and great-granddaughter Layla Duran. Grandsons Louis and wife Jessica Duran, and Adrian Duran. Daughters Lisa and family, Susie and family, sons, David and family, Andrew Duran and Joe Madrid.
Viewing for Irene Madrid will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
Recitation of the Most Holy will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home recited by Frank Maldonado and Petra Bertola. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery with Deacon Tom Alderette reciting.
