Nadine D Maio, 90, died Nov. 14, 2023. She was born May 14, 1933, to Frank and Delora (Young) Stanton, in Trinidad. She graduated from Hoehne High School, and she married Fred Maio. She and Fred raised four children: Gene, Debbie, Karen, and Cheryl. She was the owner of the Budget Shop, and a member of the Goodwill Club in Raton, N.M., and her hobbies included ceramics, embroidery, 4-H, rodeo, and high-school sports.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Fred and her brother Wayne Stanton.
She is survived by her children Gene (Heather) Maio, Debbie (Jim) Crowder, Karen (Terry) Baca, and Cheryl Hood; grandchildren Jeff Crowder, Hilary Maio, Jill Crowder, Nicole Maio, Chris Baca, Jennifer Baca, Jesse Crowder, Andrew Hood, and Alexandra Hood; brother Stanley (Markala) Stanton and sister Ila Mangino; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers: Jeff Crowder, Jesse Crowder, Andrew Hood, Hilary Glasgow, Jennifer Johnson, Alexander Hood, Nicole Maio
A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home. A reception will follow with the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home. The burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
