Henry Ricky Gonzales, (62) passed away on October 22,2023. Henry, fondly known as Bear, was born to Elias “Chorizo” Gonzales and Beatrice Payan on April 17th, 1961 in Cimarron, NM. One of Bears’ biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky to have two. Bear was full of laughter, loved Spanish music, dancing, and large family gatherings. He committed much of his time to his family and friends. Bear was an Army Veteran, shop owner and finished his career working for the mines.
Henry is survived by his wife Kady and two children Enrique and Emily. He is also survived by Mother Beatrice Payan, three brothers Andrew (Kimberly), Elias(Rebecca), and Malcom, two sisters Beatrice and Laura seven nieces Ronaele, Raena, Tracey, Alyssa, Ali, Shelby, Lexi and Seven nephews Matthew, Thomas, Derick, Chancy, Isaac, Jacob, Clayton and numerous great nieces and nephews. Henry is preceded in death by Grandparents Filiberto “Chili” & Fedalina Arellano and Parents Elias and Fabiola Gonzales. He will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, and all the loving heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall at 10:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Father Trieu as the Celebrant. Rite of committal and interment will follow in the Mount View Cemetery, Cimarron, NM.
