In Loving Memory of Natividad (Tivy) Trujillo

Natividad (Tivy) Trujillo went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2023. She went
peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born on December 10, 1928 in Aguilar, Colorado
to Elipio and Cornelia Garduno. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School. She united in
marriage to John F. Trujillo on February 12, 1950. For many years she worked in the janitorial
field.
Natividad cherished her family deeply. She enjoyed being at home decorating, especially
for the holidays. Every Sunday she listened to the KRTN Spanish Program and her CDs. She
enjoyed planting her morning glories and caring for them.
She had a beautiful collection of porcelain dolls. In her younger years, she liked to sew
on her machine. After her retirement, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and eating chile fries
at home or in restaurants. She also enjoyed going for rides.
Natividad is preceded in death by her husband John F. Trujillo of 62 years till his death in
2012. Her oldest child Rose Lee Linda Trujillo, parents Elipio and Cornelia Garduno, sisters
Marie Manuel, Dorothy Ortiz, only brother Dave Garduno, and great-granddaughter Reina
Cordova.
Natividad is survived by her children Arnold Trujillo, George Trujillo, Joyce Trujillo,
Genevieve Trujillo, Josephine (Gilbert) Ronquillo all of Trinidad. Her 10 grandchildren, numerous
great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her sisters Beatrice (Leo) Muniz, Theresa Martinez of Denver, Colorado, and Irene O’Brian of
Trinidad.
The family appreciates all of the calls and prayers.
Funeral arrangements made under the care of Comi Funeral Home of Trinidad, Colorado
Natividad’s visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 3 to 6 pm at Comi
Funeral Home. Her Rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 9 am at Comi Funeral
Home. Her Mass will be held the same day at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church.
“Natividad will be deeply missed by all her family, forever in our hearts. The help she
gave to her family, she will be a hero to many.”
Pallbearers are Jacob Trujillo, Luke Trujillo, Gabriel Trujillo, Matthew Mares, Kayla
Gutierrez, Tatiana Thompson, and Nevaeh Trujillo.
Honorary Pallbearers are Juan Zamora, Anthony Cruz Jr., Adrian Cruz, and Kai Trujillo.
