In Loving Memory of Helen (Trujillo) Pacheco

Helen (Trujillo) Pacheco, a former resident of Hoehne, passed away in Colorado
Springs on October 20, 2023, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her daughters,
who dearly loved her. Helen was born in Hoehne, Colorado, on July 8, 1931, to Mary
and Thomas Trujillo. She married the love of her life, Gene Pacheco, on October 31,
1953. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Helen loved her family and friends. She is survived by her three daughters and their
husbands, Diana and Joe Avery, Priscilla and Robert Garduno, and Sherry and Joseph
(Chep) Garcia. Grandchildren Vikki Garduno (Mike Muniz), Matthew Garduno, Brandi
(Chavez) Fresquez (Nick), Brandon (B,J,) Chavez (Jennifer), and Jordan Avery (Nicole
Simcoe). Great grandchildren Taneshia Garduno, Ally Garduno (Tomas Montoya), Isaac
Runyon, Issiah Trujillo, Matthew Garduno, Adrian Garduno, Anthony Garduno, Caesar
Garduno, Aria Garduno, Alyssa Chavez, Quentin Chavez, Kyannah Fresquez and
Scarlett Simcoe. Great great grandchildren Journey Garcia and Malcolm Garcia. She
was preceded in death by grandchildren Serena Garduno, Danessa Garduno, Tiana
Garduno, Hope Runyon, Arleanne Runyon, and Joshua Avery.
Helen had many special friends who kept her in their hearts and prayers and we are
thankful for them.
Pallbearers will be family members Brandon (B.J.) Chavez, Jordan Avery, Quentin
Chavez, Issiah Trujillo, Mike Muniz, and Matthew Garduno.
Please join us in celebrating Helen’s life. Public visitation on Monday, October 30, 2023,
at Comi Funeral Home at 3 PM. Rosary on October 31, 2023, at Comi Funeral Home at
9 AM. Funeral mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial to follow at Trinidad
Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon get-together will follow at La Casa.
Thank you all for the condolence calls, prayers, and kind words. Our family appreciates
it.
