PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Colfax County Board of Commissioners will meet in Emergency Special Session on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 4:00 P.M., in the Commission Chambers, 3^rd floor at the Colfax County Courthouse, Raton, NM for the following:

1. Call to Order
2. Discuss/Action – Resolution #2023-38, Declaring Colfax County State of Emergency – Chicorica Bridge
3. Adjourn

On Tuesday, October 17, Colfax County Commissioner’s held an emergency meeting Declaring Colfax County State of Emergency for the Chicorica Bridge.   According to Colfax county Manager Monte Gore, this should open funding opportunities from the State of NM or Federal Government.  The bridge was critically fractured in several locations and is a significant safety concern. Colfax County thanked Gabe Lucero and the New Mexico Department of Transportation team who were able to identify an extremely dangerous situation and report it to Colfax County.  The county immediately closed the bridge after getting the report.
