In Loving Memory of Samuel Parker Young

Samuel Parker Young passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the age of 52. He had an amazing self-taught skill with a scroll saw. He shared his creations with many people. Sam also tended to and loved animals including horses, donkeys, llamas, goats, and of course many family dogs. He also enjoyed beekeeping. Sam believed in God and had a passion for Bible study and church.

Sam was born December 18, 1970, to Butch and Ruth Anne Young in Denver, CO. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ella Young and Fred and Elizabeth Parker; his father, Butch Young and his brother, Jed Young.

Sam is survived by his wife, Patti Young of Raton, NM; his mother, Ruth Anne Young, of Raton, NM; his sister, Tammy Case, and husband, Tim, of Groom, TX; nephews Tyler Case of Watsonville, CA and Tanner Case and wife, Alanna, of Round Rock, TX. Sam is also survived by his stepchildren Michele Sisneros and her children, Caydence, Kylene, and Xander, and Lex and Alea Sisneros, and their daughter, Danae. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Services will be held September 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at The Lighthouse Church with Pastor Monty McGowen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lighthouse Church in memory of Sam Young, 1310 S 2″‘St., Raton, NM 87740.
