Devon Nicole (Sandoval) Romero left this world suddenly on February 18, 2022, at the young age of 38 in her hometown of Raton, NM.
Devon was born August 15, 1983, in Raton, N.M. to Gabriel E. Sandoval and Debra A. Sandoval both of Raton, NM.
Devon is preceded in death by her husband Adam A. Romero, Father Gabriel E. Sandoval, and sister-in-law Crystal M. Garcia. Devon and her father Gabriel shared a very special bond from her first day of life to his last. The bond was so much that he took it upon himself to give her the name “Devon” and she managed to share his name with her daughter.
Devon leaves behind two loving and amazing children, a daughter, Skylar “Gabrielle” Mastrantoni, and a Son, Cadence Giovanni Mastrantoni who she loved dearly and was so very proud of. They were her world. She was not only a loving mother but truly their best friend.
Devon is also survived by her mother Debra A. Sandoval of Raton, N.M. One brother, John G. Sandoval of Lakewood, CO, two sisters: Desiree and husband Mike Sickels of Littleton, CO, Annette, and husband Leon Marquez of Pueblo, CO. Nephews Cameron Sickels and Carsyn Sickels both of Littleton, CO. Niece Deja Marquez and Nephew Logan Marquez both of Pueblo, CO. Grandparents, Martha Romero, Jennie Sandoval, and John Romero, all of Raton, NM and many very special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends considered family.
Devon loved music, dancing, camping, cooking, and tons of candy. She loved spending time with family and friends. She cherished those moments but because of her short time on this earth, she never was able to create more of these memories.
Devon will always be remembered for that contagious smile, quick wit and sassy attitude but mostly for her kind and loving heart. Devon loved many and was loved by many. She will truly be missed. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister, who will always be loved and will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace Devon Nicole. FOREVER YOUNG.
Services are on September 23, 2023, at the Light House Church of Raton 1310 S 2nd St, Raton, NM 87740 at 10 am. The luncheon will be announced.
